The Impact of Your Generosity

Every number on this page is a child in a classroom, a meal on a plate, a family with one less thing to worry about. Here’s what your support makes possible, year after year, in Siem Reap.

CFC students at school

11,000+ Children, One Free Education

CFC provides a free, quality education — and so much more — to more than 11,000 students every year. It’s not just classroom time. Our students receive clean water, two nutritious meals a day, dental and medical screenings, uniforms, bicycles to get to school, textbooks, and technology, all at a cost of just $300 per student per year.

CFC’s curriculum has been recognized by Cambodia’s Ministry of Education as a model for schools nationwide, which means your support doesn’t just educate our students — it helps train the teachers and shape the curriculum for schools across the country.

Students walking their bicycles to school

A Bicycle Changed Everything

Chantha, a 14-year-old student at Bakong Motwani Junior High School, dropped out of school in large part because she had no way to get there — some days she doubled up on a classmate’s bike, other days she walked. When her teacher noticed she’d been absent for ten days, CFC’s Gender Equity team stepped in.

The bicycle CFC provided got Chantha back to school. On weekends, her family uses it to reach the market and work sites farther from home. One bicycle, changing a family’s daily life and a student’s future — the story behind every one of the bicycles we provide each year.

CFC teachers in a training workshop

500+ Teachers, Trained to Change a Classroom

Teacher training is how educational change in Cambodia takes root and lasts. CFC has trained more than 500 teachers in internationally recognized best practices — and those teachers go on to mentor and train their peers, multiplying the impact far beyond our own campuses.

CFC has also awarded more than 200 scholarships to teachers pursuing university degrees in their field, building a generation of educators who are changing Cambodia’s classrooms from the inside.
